Computers still had games, they were just installed by using floppy or disk drives and the graphics were nothing spectacular or anything remotely like they are today. There were phones but they were not connected to the internet, they were landline phones and you had to use the landline to connect to the internet (so no calling anyone up while using the internet). NES, SNES, Sega Genesis, PlayStation 1 and the N64 were the main video game systems back then. Many kids started getting hooked on video games during the late 80s and throughout the 90s, although to be fair many still were playing outside and would hang out face to face too. It was sort of a mixed generation of nerds, jocks, goths, juvenile delinquents and average suburban kids.
